Penang | Astro Star Quest 2011 Final (Lazy Post)

Yes this will be a lazy post so be prepared for a unfinished short pointless post.

So I was in Penang last weekend with my college peeps actually you could say it’s ex college peeps since I’ve graduated like 2 years plus? to go support my friend Miko at the Astro’s Star Quest Finals woots! And yeah we hooled up 6 of us and drove a car ALL THE FARKING WAY 200KM++ to PENANG. My first time driving long distance AND driving over 80km/hrs! weeee~

What is it you ask? well it’s a annual singing competition by Astro which started months ago. Some sort like American Idol, and the winners are to continue competing in Taiwan later on after this round is over.

So yeah it was the finals and there’s 5 finalist and aren’t they awesome!

They all performed really well except for the Autumn and Winter theme ones, some of them were rather blah~ (The competition was segregated into 4 main rounds based on the 4 seasons) but I was really entertained at the concert!

Oh did I mention I got VIP tickets which means I was sitting real close to the stage sadly/FORTUNATELY not the mosh pits

We were THAT of a fan we actually put up her banners at the back of our car on the way home to Klang!

Well we were really crazy that we kinda started talking to that photo of hers while in the car. Epic Boredom.

But yeah, in the finals after all the performance and the gan cheong first and second round elimination, Miko ended up with the 3rd placing in the competition with the 2nd place won by Jie Ying and Winner; Geraldine.

Honestly I believe that all three ladies were good in their own scope of singing, what differs them is the song choice cause the DID have awesome performances and everything.

Nevertheless, I’m really proud of you Miko cause you know you got the talent and you’ve gone THIS far! Jia you in Taiwan and let’s get you to be the winner of the Taiwan phase competition!

Anyhooos as I said it’s a short lazy post. Gotta go sleep ady. I’ll see when I could get outta my procrastination and blog this event for real!

Sing-out-Loud

Last two days was like the one day after years okay maybe I over-exaggerate alil since the last I’ve went out for a full day outing (which is like from 11am – 12am) and boy I can feel the oldness creeping in LMAO

SO yeah me and my college buddies went for this early morning karaoke session and for a moment I thought we were early but turns out the place was already filled by the time we were there (ie 11am) like wtf are all of you doing early in the morn in a karaoke centre you sing-song junkies!

so ANYWAYS

Me, Wai Meng, Jack, Elaine and Sarah got ourselves a karaoke room and things were alil damp at first cause I guess we were *cough cough* shy but then slowly the mic conquering got over us and we were cat fighting over the mics! yesh over exaggerating again

The thing about singing k is that it’s so freaking therapeutic that after a few emo songs like “Don’t wanna miss a thing” – Aerosmith, “It’s my life”- Bon Jovi, “The Reason”-Hoobastank and of course “Lau Hui I mean Bleeding Love”- by oh shit I forgot her name @@.

It’s nice to scream out the bad energy and make a fool of yourself by SS-ing around with the uber loud mic the room is a closed area for a reason you know

After the k-session which is about 2pm we got halau-ed with the Thank you screen, we have like 5hours plus before Derek’s birthday party, which was like at 7.30pm, so we thought hey! lets go watch a movie! And the movie of the day was…..

And ratings for this movie, 5/10 which is an average lahh.

though the first 3 movie was hilarious, I guess it kinda mellowed down alil already but though the songs in the movie is not bad.. Overall it’s okay lah. not much of a big hoo-hah.

After movies we went present hunting and SHIT I FORGOT TO TAKE A PICCIE OF THE PRESENT WE BOUGHT! FML for Derek and got him a funky colored huge earphones! We went to SnJ for the gift wrapper damn they charge for wrapping service now! and then we went to Popular to *cough* borrow *cough* marker pen to write on it. To think back we were so silly! we could’ve pinjam from SnJ only right.. since we were already paying for the wrapping then =_= total PHAIL-NESS.

So yeah after all that hoo-hah, Mr KS and J came to JJ and off we go for Derek’s place! and we were actually freaking early there that we’re the first guests! 1/2 early weih.. imagine..

BUT! Early has it’s ups cause I had this awesome piccie of zi pokeys!

So yeah Happy advanced birthday Derek!

After all the food and Uno Game and Present unwrapping ceremony we left at about midnight, which means I was out of the house for a freaking 13hours @@ ZOMG

Life is amazing.

Why?

Cause you’d never know what might just come outta nowhere in life!

It’s like at one time you might just be falling into a hole of infinite darkness and the next you’d see a hand holding up to you pulling you into the light and warmth away from all the pitch black.

Sometimes I wonder if things are really going like they are now. Is that hand real? Can I trust my whole being into letting that hand pull me up and show me the way to warmness and everything good?

How sometimes things could seem so wrong but feel so damn right at the same time.

Its so ridiculous yet convincingly makes sense it makes you go crazy!

But I love how the randomness and unpredictable-ness came into my life.

Little did I realized, I kinda auto-pilot-ly adapted the randomness into my life that when it decides to officially enter I auto pilotly accepted without considering. It’s like my body worked on its own while my mind goes eh? oh? what? how? what just happened? O_O

You guys may be thinking wth am I rambling about. Well, Thats for me to know and For YOU to find out XD

What I know is that I shall take my chances again and deep down inside I hope that history wouldn’t repeat itself again and that finally my intuition is right LONG TERMLY.

   

I never regretted doing what I decided. I was glad you brought those sparkles for me. It tingles. hehe.

Oh baby FEEL ME!

It’s funny how I’ve lost and forgotten the way to express myself. I’ve forgotten how to pour out the things I feel into this very lovely blog of mine that now it contains very much ALL but little of what I am and how I feel about things.

I re-read my old posts that day and I see how easy it was for me to pop something up and just blah it all out in this sanctuary I call my own where I scream and rant without caring what ifs.

What if my friends read it?

What if my family read it?

What if people read it and judge me?

What if people read and spread it?

What if people read and manipulate my thoughts and emotions?

What if the thoughts that I want that person to know, didn’t reached out to the right one?

What if?

I have no blardy idea why I was being so guarded lately that I rarely update personal posts which contains what I think personally deep down inside.

I saw somewhere on twitter which said : “ Diaries used to be the most valuable secretive thing to one’s life, but now, Diaries in the form of blogs are so publicly displayed without hesitation or secretiveness” something like that lah. And it’s SO true. Cause I used to went with the diary trend thingy yes I kept diaries and I would kill burn murder swallow protect my diary like my life depends on it cause my deepest darkest THOUGHTS are in it. NO not much of a secret but the most PERSONAL THOUGHTS are there for me to protect. Thoughts that I wanna keep only to myself and I penned it down mostly cause I have a feeling that my memory would fail me in the future that I think I should REALLY pen these down so that I could turn back some day, read it and smile / laugh about it by myself of course .

I know this is abit different from my usual Photo-filled post that I have been taken a habit to be posting these months. Don’t worry I still have photos here and there *winks* it won’t be filled with but it will still have. hahaha I just can’t help it I love posting photos on my blog. It brings the life in it!
