So yesterday thanks to Churp Churp, courtesy of Tunetalk, I’ve got a pair of tickets to the premiere screening of Real Steel starring Hugh Jackman (DROOLS) and Evangeline Lilly and Dakota GoyoInteresting name I have no idea where’s he from hmmm
So basically Real Steel is about this father, Charlie (Hugh Jackman) a washed out boxer, making a living in the underground robot boxing ring, and his son, Max, who has been separated cuz Charlie abandoned/sold/left released all custody to his ex girlfie, rebond together with each other after the death of Max’s mum through, well robot boxing.
I must say this movie is a must watch cuz not only they have great script ESPECIALLY Max. He is good, the storyline was amazing. I expected this to be an action focused movie but it actually weighted both action and a heartfelt story equally.
I laughed and “Awwhh” alot, heck I even cheered for Atom when he won!
I rate this 8.5 out of 10. Must watch I say. Eventhough I got the seats which was the second from the front FML Thanks to GSC Paviliion’s awesome huge seats, I didn’t even get ANY stiff neck.
I’d watch this for the second time.
Oh did I mention, this time they even gave free popcorns and Coke! which I sat on cuz I didn’t notice them on the seat as it was dark wooops!
So last night thanks to Nuffnang and Disney I’ve gotten myself a pair of premier screening tickets to watch Fright Night at e@curve!
And to top it off, it’s my first time driving on my own to Damansara! Sheesh I know nuts on the way there though I know I’ve been there so many times for movie screening but I still didn’t bother to take note on how to go there
Since I couldn’t find anyone to go with more like I procrastinated till it’s too late I went with my sis and we had dinner at Ikea SWEEDISH MEAT BALLS and bumped into quite a number of bloggers this time. It’s been awhile since I’ve actually seen so many of the familiar faces~

Summary of the movie is that this new neighbor who moved in happens to be a vampire who’s eating everyone in the neighborhood. Boy got curious and nosy, vampire got pissed, let the war begin!
Now the movie was okay. Not much of a hoo-hah, not much, BUT it was entertaining enough. Funny punch lines, okay storyline. Actually I was surprised that this DISNEY movie (read Mickey Mouse) has SO MUCH SWEAR WORDS. like seriously!
Rather classic vampire movie, no freakingly handsome vampires who have killing stares or SPARKLY FACE UNDER THE SUNLIGHT. This vampire is actually scared of the light! Good for you! old school vampire nails and turns, except those very fake blood splashes. Dammit can’t do better meh? so fake gosh.
Verdict would be : 6/10
Downloadable movie. You could watch in the cinemas but don’t expect too much from the storyline. Oh but how Amy got turned, HOT

We don’t need to dress fancy to look good! Just a simple top, corset, (jeans) and boots and walah! HAWT!
And for guys, as scrawny as they can dress, they still look goood! Example Mr Jack Sparrow a.k.a. Kapten Jack Pipit ROFL
Pirate outfits are hip AND comfy! Especially when you need to sprint when you are chased by thousands of man-eating natives on a lost island while searching for booty.
If you’re not for the hard core piratey, maybe you could go for the pirate heartthrob Will or as translated by the genius behind Malaysian cinema’s translater “Akan”!
I mean I’m sure you’d prefer the hot bad boy pirate over that weird face-powdered-with-excessive whiteness-with-weird-FAKE-curly-FAKE-hair guy
No#3 Last but not least
We pirates can swear like there’s no tomorrow and the opposite sex will think that we’re super HAWT!
YESH!
And so with these 3 points I am very the holy freaking sure that I’ve shown you that being ay pirate ROCKS YOH SAWKS MATEYS!!

i watched the trailer on TV and I was like woah finally a movie that might make me feel scared or at least awe me?

Imma big fan of magic and sorcery fantasy fiction : READ Harry Potter Fan and I watched the Saw series in a marathon LAUGHING all the way.
Though the back half of the trailer kinda bleaky but it convinced me to be interested enough and when I heard that I could watch it for free though it WAS last minute decision cause I was worried I couldn't make it after work tadah! there I was rushing like mad after work just to go for the screening ALL THE WAY TO DAMANSARA
Oh and I finally know that Sunway Giza is NOT in Sunway.

Anyhoos, here's the summary of the show

A 14th century Crusader returns with his comrade to a homeland devastated by the Black Plague. In english, this story is basically about two knights who deserted their vow to the church after realizing the political manipulation of Jesus to kill and conquer find themselves stuck again to serve another church after being caught by sending this girl(who they claim to be witchy i mean, a witch) to the temple of far far away to perform "rituals", in order to save the people from the Black Plague which i always thought it was pronounced as ("PLAK" instead of "PLEG"
Yes you'll see the time when Knights are awesome and Churches rules the world and where everybody basically mentions the words Jesus in EVERY SINGLE SENTENCE like seriously
No offence though. I'm not attacking you Christians, I'm just saying how this movie portrays how dependant people were onto Jesus and how these "fathers" and apparently "heralds" manipulate the beliefs of there poor people and persuade people into doing horrible things.
okays enough of Moral Studies *cough cough*

as much as I expect this show to be good note I didn't mention GREAT I am left with disappointment only after quarter of the movie. Like seriously!
The supposedly "Kan Cheong" part also not kan cheong wan..
Nicolas Cage was so…. Dead.
I love Nicolas Cage, really but…
Though I love Ron Perlman. He has the funniest Duh expression and one liners, prolly he's the ONLY entertaining part that made me survive this movie!
And the funny masks that these "Healers" wear. reminds me of the fugly Oracle protector in 300
SPARTA!

Let's just summarize the movie to a 4/10. Download it and watch if you insist. Not worth the money spent unless you watch for the sake of Ron Perlman's and Claire Foy's acting or if you're Nicolas Cage's die-hard fan.. Plot very flat, no climax much, draggy in some parts.
Oh and I forgot!

and WOW I LOVE the movie! it's funny and though for people who expects too much might think it's alil predictable but then honestly I think it's a good show for laughs and Katherine Heigl is AWESOME!
Not gonna tell you about it cause I dowana make it tooo predictable but go watch with an open mind and heart and you'l be VERY happy.
oh! and it's a pretty short movie. About 1 and 1/2 hour only

Really the chemistry between ashton and Katherine was awesome too and her expressions acting very crazy-ly weird-ly + spasmic moments like Dr Izzie Stevens in Grey's Anatomy, it's really a joy to watch. LOL
oh And Ashton Kutcher, he's cute not to mention his ehem,assetGUN is BIG
